Lionel is a local Malagasy from the town of Antsirabe. Having studied tourism, he has exceptional knowledge on the history and culture of Madagascar and the Malagasy people. Being able to show people the best that Madagascar has to offer is one of his biggest motivators. This passion combined with his educational background, makes him the perfect person to help you design a unique itinerary that meets both your travel expectations and budget. Having worked in the industry for several years now, Lionel will be able to find you professional and knowledgeable local guides and introduce you to local food and culture. All of this will hopefully contribute to enriching your experience in Madagascar.

Design, Web Content & Marketing

An avid traveller, Jess met Lionel while on a trip to Madagascar, where he was her driver and guide. Through this friendship came the beginnings of Maki Adventures. Jess is responsible for design, web content and supporting Lionel with customer requests and itinerary development. Her extensive experience as a traveller and working in customer service means that she along with Lionel, is dedicated to providing each customer with the best experience possible.
